Each year, Miami’s philanthropic and social scene converges for one of the city’s most dazzling nights: the InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball. In 2025, the event shimmered brighter than ever, transforming the grand ballroom into an opulent world of gold, light, and goodwill.

This year’s theme, Cleopatra, paid tribute to timeless beauty, power, and grace, yet beneath the ornate surface was a deeper reminder that true royalty lies in giving back. As guests entered the ballroom, they stepped into an immersive experience that evoked ancient Egypt through modern luxury: towering golden pillars, jewel-toned lighting, and lush floral installations that glowed softly against mirrored walls. The theme wasn’t just visual, it was emotional, a nod to the enduring strength of compassion and the grace found in service to others.

Every element, from the candlelit tables to the curated playlist of cinematic instrumentals, contributed to an atmosphere that felt both ethereal and purposeful. It was clear from the moment guests crossed the threshold that this was more than a ball; it was a testament to Miami’s spirit of community and generosity.

Celebrities, event planners, and media were gathered in the lobby of the InterContinental Hotel for a step-and-repeat photoshoot before the event.

The event was hosted at the beautiful InterContinentalhotel, located in Miami Beach, FL.

A Night of Fashion, Purpose, and Community

Guests began arriving long before sunset, sweeping through the hotel’s entrance in a cascade of sequins, metallics, and satin. The black-and-gold carpet stretched dramatically through the lobby, where spotlights and camera flashes created a glittering interplay of light. Each attendee embraced the regal theme in their own way, with flowing gowns, sculptural headpieces, and golden accessories that caught every shimmer of the chandelier light.

At the heart of it all stood Shareef Malnik, the longtime Ball Chair whose leadership and dedication have elevated the event year after year, and his wife and co-host Gabrielle Anwar, whose effortless poise and genuine warmth set the tone for the evening. Together, they welcomed guests as though into their own royal court, with equal parts elegance and authenticity.

The InterContinental’s grand lobby transformed into a live fashion showcase. Cameras lined the step-and-repeat area as celebrities, philanthropists, and social media tastemakers posed before the stunning blue-and-gold backdrop. Larsa Pippen, star of The Real Housewives of Miami, shimmered in a form-fitted golden gown that captured every flash of the camera. Fellow cast members Lisa Hochstein and Kiki Barth brought their signature Miami flair, mingling with guests and lending the event a vibrant, pop-culture sparkle that perfectly balanced its philanthropic heart.

It wasn’t merely a red-carpet moment—it was a gathering of worlds: art, fashion, media, and charity, intersecting under one cause. For many guests, the evening was an opportunity to celebrate beauty not only in design but in the act of giving itself.

Among the evening’s most captivating arrivals were Ada De Silva, Krystyna Laukien, Gina-Raye Carter, Adrianna Mantilla, and Nicki Danis, whose presence encapsulated the Cleopatra motif with grace and grandeur.

The Mission Behind the Magic

Beyond the gowns and glittering chandeliers, the Make-A-Wish Ball radiates a deeper brilliance: its unwavering commitment to granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses through Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. The funds raised that evening translate directly into hope: dream vacations, meaningful encounters, and moments of courage that ripple far beyond a single day.

For every story shared, there was a reminder that wishes are more than fleeting joys. They are catalysts for strength and moments that allow children and their families to experience life beyond hospital rooms and treatments, to rediscover laughter, and to feel seen and celebrated. The evening’s attendees understood this intimately, and it infused their every conversation and toast with purpose.

Fashion and philanthropy intersected effortlessly at the Make-A-Wish Miami Ball, reflecting the city’s growing reputation as a global center for culture and creativity. Miami has long been a crossroads of style and substance, where art, design, and social causes naturally intertwine.

The ball showcased that blend. Beautifullyelegant attire met meaningful purpose, and guests from a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds gathered with a shared goal: to bring hope and joy to children through the power of giving.

Miami’s diversity was on full display, not only in the faces of those attending but in the expression of their style. The city’s unique fusion of Latin American vibrancy, Caribbean warmth, and international sophistication shaped the evening’s aesthetic. Guests arrived in couture inspired by their heritage, by the city’s rhythm, and by the creativity that defines Miami’s ever-evolving identity. It was a night that reflected more than individual glamour, and it reflected a community’s collective artistry and compassion.

Events like the Make-A-Wish Ball illustrate just how far Miami’s arts and fashion scene have come. Once known mainly for its nightlife and beaches, the city now draws global attention for its cultural maturity and philanthropic strength. To see local icons, international designers, and community leaders unite under one roof for such a meaningful purpose speaks volumes about the power of Miami’s creative spirit. The ball was a celebration of what happens when a multicultural city channels its energy, beauty, and influence toward something profoundly good.

Moments That Defined the Evening

As the night transitioned into its main program, the ballroom doors opened to reveal a sight that left guests breathless. Towering centerpieces of gilded palm fronds and orchids framed each table, while candlelight rippled across champagne glasses. The live band welcomed attendees with a medley of soulful instrumentals as servers glided through the room with trays of sparkling wine.

As the dinner service unfolded, conversations blended with laughter and anticipation. Guests shared stories of previous Make-A-Wish events, discussed the wishes they’d helped fund, and spoke of how deeply the cause resonated in their lives. The air carried a rare combination of sophistication and sincerity.

Then came a surprise that ignited the ballroom: Marc Anthony took the stage to deliver a show-stopping performance. His powerful voice filled the space as he sang beloved hits like Vivir Mi Vida and You Sang to Me, commanding the audience with his effortless charisma. Guests rose from their seats, some dancing, others swaying in the soft glow of the stage lights. In that moment, the glamour of the evening merged completely with the spirit of joy—music became the language of generosity.

After the performance, the live auction commenced. Auctioneer calls rang out over the crowd as paddles lifted high, each bid another act of faith in the mission of Make-A-Wish. Between the laughter and cheers, heartfelt video tributes played stories of children whose lives had been transformed by wishes fulfilled. The juxtaposition of luxury and humanity was palpable, reminding everyone that the night’s true power resided in compassion.

The Power of Wishes

In a city known for its glamour, the Make-A-Wish Miami Ball stands apart for blending Miami’s signature flair with heartfelt philanthropy. It’s not just a celebration; it’s a movement that reminds us all how powerful kindness can be when paired with community.

As the evening came to a close, one message lingered in the air:
Hope is the most beautiful gift of all.
