The Miami Flea: Owner of Remoov Brings Sustainable Home Design to the 305

CEO and Founder, Luis Perez started his sustainable furniture business Remoov sort of by accident. I guess that’s how the best things in life happen. When his wife was at the university, he started helping her friends move out of their apartments. He noticed the need for helping students prepare for a move swiftly. “Students were stressed about how they were going to sell their furniture in time before the end of the semester, ” Perez explained. At first, he just did it on the side, and eventually, he started the decluttering and reselling service. Remoov now operates in three major areas of the United States: Bay Area, Phoenix and Miami. Just recently Remoov opened  The Local Flea, an online consignment store and showroom which sells all the collected good for a great price. It’s for everything from furniture, electronics, appliances, decor, and more.

The 10,000-square-foot warehouse is located in the heart of Doral. Currently open to the public, it welcomes consumers to shop through a collection of pre-owned items in good condition for
every taste, style, and budget.

Perez discussed how the store provides a sustainable service in the community. “45% of emissions are a result of product manufacturing,” he mentioned. So he takes pride in helping to reduce the environmental impact of producing furniture and home appliances with his resale businesses. “It’s good for the environment and for people.”

The Local Flea is a great new spot for interior designers, realtors, commercial and residential buildings, and living communities in South Florida that are staging or decorating new spaces. It’s also a top destination for anyone passionate about sustainability and finding rare luxury goods at an affordable price.

The Loca Flea also works with local charitable efforts including Raices Venezolanas, a cause Perez is very passionate about due to his Venezuelan roots.

Remoov’s showroom, Local Flea, is located at 7457 NW 55th St, Miami, FL 33166
