I have been so grateful to be a part of a seed that has blossomed into a tree and hopefully will soon create a forest. -Rikki Kamensky
Inhale Miami just turned two and founder Rikki Kamensky, also a yoga instructor, along with her closest friends and supporters celebrated the yoga studio’s anniversary with a creative, fun-filled bash last weekend on Saturday September 30, 2017.
The health haven in Little River is a nexus for healing, creativity, higher consciousness, community, spirituality, and well-being. The studio is beautifully decorated with dark wood floors, crystal chandeliers, and gorgeous, colorful murals including vibrant peacock (indoors) from artist Ernesto Maranje. He also painted two outdoors walls sponsored by Beck Urban Canvas, and Rikki liked them so much that she asked him to paint the wall indoors. The peacock has become the studio’s “mascot” and part of Inhale’s image. It’s on their awesome t-shirts as seen on Rikki in the picture above.
Micaela Jarast painted the awe-inspiring Inhale Flowers (indoors) and Moonlight Mural (outdoors) for the space.
She was at the anniversary with a table featuring some of her original artworks up for grabs. You all must stop by Inhale to check out her gorgeous paintings or visit her website (just link on her name above)
The draw of art and creativity in a nurturing space enlivens the spirit and produces a healing counterpart to our daily hectic lives. A space like Inhale Miami provides the community with a place of retreat, a place to reinvigorate and recharge. Whether it’s Rikki’s delicious paprika tinged cacao, a treat she generously offers to her guests, or one of the many fun, one-of-a-kind sound-inspired yoga classes, like a class with a local electro-funk sensation Afrobeta, one will find something to please his or her soul while engaging with other beautiful spirits in a lovely environment.
About the inception of this enchanting spot, Rikki said: “I was inspired to open Inhale after seeing a need in Miami for a space that could provide multiple and diverse programming and provide space for live music, yoga, meditation with a homey, comfortable community vibe. After completing school at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, it became my mission to bring awareness to the incredible benefits of Eastern Medicine. Acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga and meditation are all ways to preserve life and allow us to live healthier and happier. In the modern age we live in, people are experiencing so much stimulation and living with a crazy amount of stress. It is essential for us to rejuvenate and restore, otherwise we can get sick and burnt out.”
Rikki is definitely accomplishing her mission, but it hasn’t always been easy for her these past two year, so luckily she’s had a lot of helping hands. “It’s been a journey running a business. It’s grown faster than I expected and it’s required me to hit the ground running, work long hours yet still find time for self care, so I myself do not burn out. I would not be able to run the place without a strong team – the teachers and staff help keep the vision for Inhale Miami alive and well.”
Riko Chirito, founder of The Waking Hearts, has been one of the supporters and collaborators at Inhale. He discussed his involvement with in the studio: “Personally, I’ve had the opportunity to participate at Inhale’s cornucopia of yoga themed events. From yoga with live music from top Miami artists, to ecstatic tantric dance parties, Inhale never bores! The vibe is just fantastic, people go there and they stay for hours connecting with other gentle souls. Inhale Miami is a total treasure located in the heart of Little Haiti! I recommend this place to anyone ready to experience bliss on Earth!”
He set up a vendor table at the anniversary fete with beautiful scarves and origami paper.
“As the founder of The Waking Hearts, a local artist organization, I have experienced an unparalleled service at what I believe is the best Yoga studio in Miami, Inhale Miami . The owner Rikki is a joy to work with. I have worked with Inhale before and continue to be excited to collaborate in the future.” -Riko Chirito
Artist, personal trainer, and wrtier Sergio Torres was also in house with some of his beautiful paintings, each with a conscious, spiritual message.

It was a beautiful night filled with good vibes, gratitude and consciousness. May Rikki continue fulfilling her mission. We are grateful to have her in our community. We wish Inhale Miami many, many more…!
