Lotus Fields Forever Presents ‘Pure Life Festival’ at Smart Bites to Unite Miami’s Conscious Community

“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.” Mahatma Gandhi

Blossoming out from muddy waters,  the lotus flower is unscathed and immaculate.  The aquatic perennial represents spiritual awakening or enlightenment.  The plant serves as a great metaphor for coming out of darkness and seeing the light, so it’s been used as a symbol in Eastern spiritual traditions.

Well Miami, we are knee deep in mud, especially after the hurricane Irma, and it’s time to wake up and rise up to a higher state of consciousness and expose our best selves–our colorful blossoms–just like the lotus plant.

One local gal who is stepping up to lead Miami’s revolution of light is Alana Resaul. In January, she founded the non-profit organization Lotus Fields Forever. Their mission is to educate people on how to coexist with Mother Nature in innovative ways for the betterment of everyday life. The monicker is a play on her favorite artist’s song “Strawberry Fields Forever.”  Like John Lennon and the Beatles, she hopes to spread messages of peace and love in the 305.

How is she going to accomplish this goal? Well, she can’t do it alone. So, her organization is hosting Pure Life Festival this Saturday, October 14, 2017.  Resaul explains, “The goal of the event is to push Miami’s culture forward in the right direction towards a more positive, sustainable, and united community.”

Artists performing at the event will include Spread Love Gang, Starve Marve, Webster the Doc, Nad Pitt, Mr. Grim 2 Da Reaper, Spaz305, Cosmic Rasta, and Psychic Dove.

Resaul said: “All the musicians chosen talk about social problems, spirituality, or positive content in their music. All were carefully chosen for the event to have a positive impact.”

There will also be upcoming local artists, who will be painting live, and vegan (plant-based) food vendors and chefs, who are very health conscious.  There’s no better way to coexist with Mother Nature than to consume a plant-based diet, which gives back to the environment and does no harm to other beings.

The event will take place at Smart Bites, a beautiful indoor and outdoor eatery and garden.  Alana described it as “one of the most sustainable restaurants in Miami with its garden and aquaponics system.”
